What does Nodefix do?

Nodefix is a board-level electronics repair specialist in The Hague, Netherlands, operating since 2008. We perform chip-level motherboard repair using microsoldering, and data recovery from dead or non-booting devices.

What devices does Nodefix repair?

We repair iPhones, MacBooks, iPads, Samsung smartphones, iPods, Windows laptops, drones (DJI), and game consoles like PlayStation. All repairs are board-level — we do not replace screens or other standard parts.

What is board-level repair?

Board-level repair means diagnosing and replacing defective components directly on the motherboard using a microscope and microsoldering equipment. This is a specialized skill that most repair shops do not offer. It allows us to fix devices that would otherwise be considered unrepairable.

Does Nodefix offer data recovery?

Yes, we offer data recovery for MacBook, iPhone, Android, SSD and HDD. We can recover data from dead devices, water-damaged devices and devices that won’t boot. We work on a no cure, no pay basis.

Where is Nodefix located?

Nodefix is located at President Kennedylaan 19, 2517 JK The Hague, Netherlands. We are open Monday to Friday from 09:30 to 17:30. Saturdays by appointment.

Can I mail in my device?

Yes, we offer a mail-in service. You can send your device to us by post for repair or data recovery. Please register your device first using our mail-in form. Only ship your device after we have confirmed your registration. We will send you the shipping instructions. Unfortunately, we cannot process shipments that have not been confirmed. Questions? Does Nodefix work with businesses?

Yes, we offer B2B services for computer shops and other businesses. We repair defective motherboards that other shops cannot fix. Register your business using our B2B registration form or contact us to discuss partnership options.

How much does a repair cost?

Costs depend on the defect and the device. We work on a no cure, no pay basis — if we cannot fix it, you pay nothing. Contact us for a price estimate.

Does Nodefix repair water damage?

Yes, water damage repair is one of our specialties. We clean and repair the motherboard at chip level to fix short circuits and corrosion damage.

My Samsung phone is stuck on the Samsung logo, can Nodefix recover my data?

Yes, if your Samsung phone is stuck on the boot logo this could indicate a software or hardware issue. We diagnose the problem at board level and can often recover your data, including for urgent cases. Contact us directly for emergency service.

My external hard drive suddenly died, can Nodefix fix it?

Yes, we offer data recovery and PCB repair for external hard drives (HDD and SSD). We diagnose the problem at board level — from faulty TVS diodes to controller chips. No cure, no pay.

My Garmin GPS (boat/marine) is dead, can Nodefix fix it?

We can diagnose the motherboard and repair it at chip level. Whether your Garmin is a marine GPS, handheld or automotive device — if it has an electronic fault, we can investigate. Contact us with details about your model.

Can Nodefix replace the HDMI port on my PlayStation 5?

Yes, HDMI port replacement is a microsoldering repair and that is exactly what we do. We remove the defective port and solder a new one onto the motherboard. This is a common repair for us.

My DJI drone has broken arms after a crash, can Nodefix fix it?

Yes, we can replace broken arms and get your drone flying again. After a crash we also always check the motherboard for any electronic damage. Contact us directly if you're in a hurry — we do our best to handle urgent repairs as quickly as possible.

I spilled water on my MacBook Pro, Apple says they can't save my data. Can Nodefix help?

Yes, this is exactly what we specialize in. Apple's standard procedure for water damage is to replace the entire motherboard, which means your data is lost. We repair the motherboard itself at chip level — we clean the corrosion, diagnose and replace defective components using microsoldering. In many cases we can both recover your data and repair your MacBook, at a fraction of Apple's cost. No cure, no pay.

My Urban Arrow cargo bike controller is defective, can Nodefix fix it?

We can diagnose and repair the electronic circuit board (PCB) of your controller at chip level. We do not perform BMS transfers or any work on battery PCBs due to safety risks. If the issue is a defect on the controller PCB, we can investigate. Contact us with details about the fault.

We are a bike shop / cargo bike specialist. Can Nodefix help us repair electronic PCB boards?

Yes, we offer B2B services for businesses that cannot perform board-level repairs themselves. If you regularly encounter defective controllers, displays or other electronic components, we can repair them at chip level. Contact us at info@nodefix.nl to discuss partnership options.

Can I walk in without an appointment for a small soldering job, like a broken wire?

No, we don't take on small soldering jobs like this. We work daily against tight deadlines on important data recovery projects, so we have no time for quick repairs in between. Examples include a baby monitor or walkie-talkie with a broken wire, a guitar pedal, an e-bike charger cable, a headphone cable, a garage door PCB or a camera flex cable. Can you install a keyboard to my computer I ordered myself?

No. We don’t replace keyboards, even if you supply the part yourself. This applies to all laptops, both Windows and MacBook. Nodefix specialises in board-level repair, microsoldering and data recovery. For a keyboard installation, a general laptop repair shop or an authorised service partner of the brand is the best choice.

Do you repair car ECUs (engine control units)?

Yes, but only for business customers such as car garages and chiptuning companies. We don’t take ECU repairs from private customers. We are not a car garage: we can’t work on or in your car, and we don’t read fault codes or remove, install or program ECUs in the vehicle. Please don’t bring your car to our office. If you have an ECU problem, contact your garage. They can remove the ECU and send it to us for repair.

I have an urgent situation. Can I come outside working hours for an urgent data recovery or repair?

Yes. In case of an emergency, please contact us, even outside our regular working hours. We will do our best to help you and resolve your problem as quickly as possible.

Do you offer cooling maintenance for gaming laptops?

No. We don’t do preventive maintenance on gaming laptops: no cleaning of fans or heatsinks, no thermal paste replacement and no liquid metal replacement. We also don’t run temperature or throttling tests. Nodefix specializes in board-level repair, microsoldering and data recovery.
