A customer came to us with a MacBook Pro A2289. The symptoms were classic for a defective CPU: the trackpad still clicked, the charging voltage was fine, but no chime and no boot. The device simply did nothing anymore.

Because the customer urgently needed the data, we got to work right away. We replaced the logicboard and transferred the NAND chips, the T2 chip and all other required components to a working donor board. Result: all data fully recovered.
